![]() Glary Utilities is one of the best tools out there in my opinion, specially the free version. Otherwise, it's really just bait-and-switch, which is fraudulent. In addition, instruction on how to prevent that from happening should be provided. ![]() If a GOTD program auto-updates itself and in dong so, reverts to temporary trial status, that should also be made clear. If updating, auto or manual, is included with a GOTD program, it should be made clear. ![]() (There's a discussion in the GOTD forums.) As a small business owner, I consider that bad business. I've downloaded several GOTD programs that auto-updated themselves and as a result reverted to temporary status, and stopped functioning two weeks later. Does someone actually know which scenario is correct? Some comments suggest that Glary will allow downloaders of this offering to update in future and the program will remain permanently functional - in direct contradiction to GOTD rule #2 - No Free Upgrades.Īs for manually updating the former version, some say they tried but couldn't update, some say they didn't try because of GOTD rule #2,, and some say they could and did upgrade without the program reverting to a temporary, trial status The main difference in today's offering, Glary Utilities PRO version 2.3.1.92, and the GU version offered here in May is auto-update.
